The Flaws in Our Hearts

Catherine may have her father's empire under her feet, but is not in her heart to take it all for herself. She is quiet, shy and her brain is trained to work in each and all tasks at hand. Her mother died when she was too young to remember, but her father always taught her well; morals and loyalty are the base of her beliefs. With only 31 years old, she has been forced to take the reins of her father's law firm and empire; she enters a world she thought she was prepared for, but quickly realizes that not even the movies had prepared her for this life.

Noland is quiet and reserved; he has an eye for hidden things, a skill he has learned to master and that has helped him reach high in his career. At the age of 47, he was sailing his last year at the firm where he had worked all his life. During 29 years he had been at the same place, starting when he was only 17 years old as a mere mail boy, and as a lawyer when he graduated from college. The "Early Retirement" program is going to be his escape from everything; life, drama, bad marriage memories and horrible bosses.

They are so different, in age, professions and life experiences. What can possibly unite them?
